Larry Pentis (President & Chief Executive Officer)
Larry Pentis was named chief executive officer (CEO) and president concurrent with the closing of the sale to American Capital Acquisition Corporation in March 2010.

He joined the group from the Commerce Group, where he ran all operations outside of Massachusetts. Larry spent the majority of his career at the AAA club headquartered in San Francisco. At AAA, he was responsible for all aspects of the insurance operation (auto, home and life) with net written premium of $2.2 billion. Over a five-year period, Larry expanded the AAA insurance business from three to 16 states with net written premium growth of $600 million.

Larry has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California Santa Barbara, a Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Taxation from the University of Southern Califorina, and an Advanced Management degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
